#1 Biden dropped out too late. Biden’s cognitive decline was more than evident a year before the election, and it became abundantly clear that he could not beat Trump. Even his own party and staunch Democrat celebrity supporters wanted him out. His reluctance quietly sabotaged the Harris campaign and forced them to play catch-up with only three months to the election. She inherited a challenging situation from Biden and had no real plan to overcome it, or distance herself from Biden.
#2 Nobody knew who she was. Kamala rarely did actual interviews, and when she did, she danced around issues with the now-famous Kamala “word salad.” Trump sat down for 3 hours with Joe Rogan, reaching 47 million people. Kamala passed because she wanted to do it on her terms only. Big mistake because Joe has a large audience of undecided and independent voters. Her speeches could be best described as cheerleading, lacking anything of substance. Her positions on important issues like border security and the economy were vague.
#3 The border. She was in charge of the border but never visited it until she announced her candidacy. I live in San Diego, 25 miles from the Mexican border, and trust me, it’s a mess. Talk to anybody in San Diego and they will tell you it has gotten worse under Biden’s watch and she took the hit for that, as she should have. The US Border Patrol reported 172 encounters in fiscal 2023 of people whose names appeared on the federal government’s terrorist watch list….so there’s that.
#4 The economy. 4 years ago, here in San Diego, I was paying $4.99 for a half gallon of milk, today I’m paying $6.99. Eggs have almost doubled. Gas was $3.50, now I’m paying $5.50 for mid-grade. Rent has skyrocketed. This trend of inflation has been the norm nationwide for the last 4 years, and Kamala has never talked about her plan fo fix it other than saying that she would.
#5 The Woke Movement. If it was one group who demonized Trump, it was the woke crowd. Most of the Trump hate came from the woke. He was compared to Hitler by people who knew little to nothing about the German dictator and murderer, forgetting about the fact that he systematically killed over 11 million people, including 6 million Jews. Trump has killed zero. In the end, all the Trump hate did was create Trump voters from the undecided and independents.
If you are a true American, like Joe Biden, you will accept the results of the election, like Joe Biden did. He and Kamala will move on and be fine – so should you.
